I don't understand this - I want to subscribe to a thread so I get the replies on my cell phone when I am not near a computer.

The problem: Once one reply is sent, I get the message "There may be more replies, but you will not receive anymore until you visit the forum again".

That is the whole point! I can't visit the forum and that is why I subscribe...

Does anyone have a solution to this?

I will inquire with Rx Tech Support who in turn can make an inquirey with VBulletin for a solution to your problem. I will post whatever I can find out here as soon as I have any information. It may take a week or more to get a response from Vbulletin.

Thanks, wilheim

Response from Rx Tech Support.

This is the default and only behavior of the thread subscription feature. The idea is that you get a notification and then you go to the forum to reply to it. The thread subscription is not meant to be a substitute to using the forums. In other words we want the user on the forum, not in their email. This function cannot be modified per vBulletin. Even though it was not stated by vBulletin, try to imagine if a lot of people did a subscribe to thread like a busy thread with hundreds of posts and an email is sent to each person for each post, the email function would crash as the built in email system is not the same as a dedicated email server.
